Webinar: 11th December, 2020 12.00 pm AEDT

Children and young people have raised five major concerns to a consultation organised by the Australian Human Rights Commission from January to April 2020.

On December 11, the day after Human Rights Day, this webinar will look at the impact of government policies and actions on the rights of children during the Covid-19 pandemic. The webinar will link the failings in the protection of children’s rights to the recommendations of the CRC Committee and show how action on the recommendations would have addressed some of the concerns expressed by children and young people.

The webinar is the second in a series organised by Diplomacy Training Program, Youth Law Australia and Australian Lawyers for Human Rights, bringing together practitioners and academic experts to develop greater knowledge and understanding of the CRC, and its relevance to Australia’s children.
