On World Children’s Day this webinar will explore the recommendations to Australia from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, following the ACT’s decision to raise the minimum age of criminal responsibility, one of the Committee’s key recommendations.  The webinar will explore progress made as well as challenges in implementing the Committee’s recommendations and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

International child rights experts will engage with Australian practitioners working to promote and protect children’s rights in Australia. This webinar, with a focus on Juvenile Justice, is the first of a series of webinars on the Convention on the Rights of the Child being organised by Diplomacy Training Program, Youth Law Australia and Australian Lawyers for Human Rights.
