DIPLOMACY TRAINING PROGRAM

Building the capacity of Asia-Pacific
Human Rights Movements since 1990

SAVE THE DATE In our continuing focus on Digital Rights we are hosting a new webinar series as an introduction to the issues around digital rights beginning next month. The three part series will look at the relationship between human rights and the digital world, the impacts of the digital on Indigenous knowledges and cultures and on data related to Indigenous peoples, and the rights of children, their protection and privacy. Registrations will open soon.

In this issue, we profile Fijian alumna Florence Swamy, Director of the Pacific Centre on Peacebuilding. We provide information about DTP's programs and upcoming webinars, reports on recent programs and news from alumni, partners and the region, and calls from the UN for your engagement.

DTP is asking for your support to help us build the capacity of individuals and movements who defend human rights, democracy, the environment and peace. Please donate here if you can. Investing in human rights movements has never been more important.

DTP acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, the Bedegal people of the Eora Nation. We recognise their lands were never ceded, and we acknowledge their struggles for recognition and rights and pay our respects to the Elders – past, present – and the youth who are working towards a brighter tomorrow. This continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
