Over the year we will feature important contributions to human rights debates. TRAINER PROFILE: HENRY ZWARTZ

Henry is an award-winning journalist who recently trained in a special DTP human rights and advocacy program for migrant and refugee community leaders in Australia. Interested in the intersection between law and media, and their use as a force for good, Henry currently works for a politics and foreign policy think tank and as a freelance journalist with Australian TV Network, SBS.

"It was a real privilege to work with DTP and to meet such a wonderful group of community leaders and experts... This is a two-way process because, with each opportunity to discuss using media to empower communities, I also learn from those communities. It’s an invaluable experience."

ALUMNI PROFILE: PERVEZ SIDDIQUE

Pervez is the founder and executive director of Bangladesh’s Films 4 Peace (F4P) Foundation, a leading national peacebuilding organisation based in Bangladesh, committed to fostering a peaceful society through innovative and artistic activism, strategic communications, and research.

"DTP is very close to my heart. My first international training was DTP in Timor-Leste, where I learned how video could defend human rights and document evidence for human rights violations. I realized I was born for using video to defend human rights and chosen for this role.”
