Jellin is the Institutional Strengthening Assistant at Yapen Customary Council. Jellin’s work involves actively assisting the Yapen Customary Council to develop partnerships with other organisations, as well as networking, campaigning and lobbying. His work is aimed at protecting and promoting the rights of the Indigenous People of Yapen Island in Papua, Indonesia and includes advocating for economic, social and cultural rights. By completing the DTP training, Jellin hopes to gain knowledge in international human rights law and the human rights based approach to development.
