Abhoud Lingga

As Chairman of the BPCA, Abhoud is in charge of the planning and supervision of the campaign for self-determination for the Bangsamoro People. He also manages the networking and lobbying work of the BPTA. As Executive Director of the Institute of Bangsamoro Studies (IBS), he also manages its programs, particularly in the area of human rights education, research and monitoring. His daily activities focus on the management of these two organisations. He looks forward to participating in the DTP program to increase his knowledge of human rights and international law that is needed for the promotion of the human rights of the Bangsamoro people. It will also provide him with the knowledge on procedures to access United Nations human rights agencies, the necessary step when the local mechanisms fail. He looks forward to learning practical skills in lobbying, people’s diplomacy and using the media so that he can apply it in his capacity of leader of the Bangsamoro civil society.
