Alison is the Coordinator of Larrakia Nation’s Community Harmony Programs. These programs provide support for Indigenous Australians who are homeless. Alison provides support, coordination, broad advocacy and strategic direction within these programs. She specialises in community service management (including staff management) and program development – including stakeholder consultation. Alison undertakes high level advocacy for homeless Indigenous People and works extensively with Program Development and Support within the Larrakia Nation. She is responsible for the identification and development of partnerships with key stakeholders and for supporting Indigenous staff and clients access training and undertake personal development. Alison spent ten years with the Australian Women’s Refuge Movement before working with Larrakia. She was the representative for the Northern Territory to the National Women’s Peak body – Wesnet. She has also acted as the Executive Officer for the Northern Territory Shelter and has dealt extensively with housing advocacy.
