Amy Lamoin

As the Senior Policy Officer in the Race Discrimination Unit of HREOC, Amy is responsible for developing policy and drafting high level strategic policy advice to the National Race Discrimination Commissioner, as well as conducting major project management, complex human rights research and sensitive community consultations, liaising with international, federal, state and non government agencies. She has had nine years experience in human rights policy in a public sector context, working across a number of human rights content areas including disability, women, migration and refugees and human trafficking. She has been a member of the War Child Australia (WCA) Management Committee since 2003. She is currently undertaking her doctorate on gender and human rights focusing on sex trafficking in Cambodia.
