Anna Laqeretabua

As the Acting National Program Specialist for UNIFEM Pacific, Anna is responsible for identifying and responding to regional developments relevant to UNIFEM’s mandate, analysing sub-regional economic, social and political factors affecting regional UNIFEM projects, and designing and overseeing sub-regional programs aligned with UNIFEM’s thematic areas. Anna also travels regularly throughout the Pacific Islands on fact-finding, inception and implementation missions, and prepares mission reports and liaises with lead agencies, regional organisations and governments. Anna has a Master of Arts in Gender, Culture and Development. She has also previously worked with FemLINK Pacific, where she was involved in policy encounter with the Fijian Government to discuss Fiji’s commitment to Women, Peace and Security.
