Atoho Kiho

India
Mr Kiho is 25 years old and lives in Nagaland, India. His role at NPMHR is as an activist, and prior to this he has been involved with student affair groups such as student unions, and is still involved in youth activities as part of a local youth organisation. At the training, Mr Kiho expects to gain a better understanding of the history and development of human right concepts and principles, and learn more about international human rights standards, to form a cohesive concept of civil, cultural economic, political and social rights. He also wants to learn to place major issues in the appropriate perspective, particularly with regards to indigenous peoples. In addition, Mr Kioho looks forward to developing relations and linkages with other human rights workers and develop his understanding of the values and attitudes required of people working for human rights. He hopes that overall, the training will provide him with informative and strategic details for human rights activities, which will also help his organisation to build its solidarity and extend its network to other similar organisations.
