Bestha Inatsan Ashila is a researcher and Deputy of Knowledge Management at Indonesia Judicial Research Society (IJRS),a non-profit organization focusing on legal research and advocacy to achieve a just and reasonable judiciary and legal policies. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Law from University of Indonesia. For the last 6 years, she’s working on vulnerable group issues especially access to justice for women, girls and disability in the legal process. The main reason why Bestha really wants to participate in the AAI Human Rights Leadership program is because she wants to strengthen her ability to influence stakeholders by using data and analysis to encourage evidence-based policy and she wants to know about the experiences and best practices from human rights activist in Australia especially to influence policies and engage with stakeholders. She wants to do a small project to increase the capacity and knowledge of disability and young people regarding human rights issues.
