Bidhayak Chakma

Bidhayak is a human rights lawyer working through his organization for the protection and promotion of human rights of indigenous Jumma people of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. He is responsible for human rights and legal affairs working on human rights education, monitoring, legal aid, networking, campaigning and lobbying. Bidhayak’s organization is a member of the Asia Pacific Indigenous Youth Network based in the Philippines and he is currently one of the APIYN coordinators He has practical experience working and networking with local, national and international NGOs working on human rights and development having previously worked for Hill Tracts NGO Forum as human rights coordinator and with Association for Land Reform and Development, a national NGO. Bidhayak holds a Masters of Laws.
