Mr Davis is 30 years old and lives in Batchelor (NT), Australia. He is currently the Assistance Director (Academic Development) of the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BIITE), and has previously worked in the Higher Education sector in the Northern Territory. He holds a Masters of Social Science (Criminology). Mr Davis believes that the training will be of significant benefit to his career within Indigenous Australian affairs within the higher education systems as well as within the criminal justice system by providing the opportunity to widen his networks and explore alternative methods of advocacy. He hopes to come away from the training with a comprehensive understanding of diverse tactics in diplomacy and how other organisations have worked to achieve their goals, as well as new skills, knowledge and methods for pursuing the cause of social justice for Indigenous Affairs through his instiyute.
