Eugene Flynn

National Indigenous Youth Movement of Australia
Australia
Eugene is a Circle member, Trustee and Executive Committee member NIYMA. She is involved in the day-to-day running of the National Indigenous Youth Movement, as well as the monitoring of its organizational integrity at a local level. The movement takes on varying roles – some political, some involved with development; and is constantly involved in the creation of healthy, strong and free Indigenous communities. Eugene is keen to see NIYMA take on a more prominent role within the Australian Indigenous Community, and believes that the advocacy and lobbying skills she will gain through the DTP training will assist the movement in doing this. She also believes that a further understanding of the Human Rights standards and framework, particularly within the UN, will be beneficial in developing connections with other Indigenous groups around the world.
