FX Supiarso

Mr Supiarso is 26 years old and lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is a graduate of social work, and has conducted research on Trade Unions in transition in a democratic age. Mr Supiarso is the Co-ordinator for the Documentation and Information Department, as well as the Co-ordinator for Human Rights Research and Democracy Studies at the Foundation. His work involves responsibility for investigation and research for the purpose of collecting information to support the Foundation’s advocacy and human rights campaigning. In the past, he has been a trainer for YAPDA in Aceh, an organiser for the Meeting of Peace and Reconciliation Institution, and a Consultant for the Human Rights Database Centre. Mr Supiarso hopes that the training will extend his knowledge of effective strategies of advocacy, particularly under the new system in Indonesia and in using international human rights instruments: especially so that he may provided the correct and appropriate information to the public, the Foundation’s branches, and other institutions.
