Ketty Aharo

Mr Aharo is the general secretary of the Wosugu Marine Protected Area, a newly established community organisation specialising in the mangroves and reefs in the Starharbour District islands. His role primarily involves conducting conservation and environmental awareness programs throughout the marine protected areas. He also works with government departments to combat issues with environmental degradation caused by large corporations. Through this program, Mr Aharo wishes to learn more about human rights laws, so that his organisation might be able to conduct human rights awareness talks and empower the local community to deal with industrial developers and the private sector.
