Krishna is an experienced human rights trainer and activities having worked at INSEC, a leading human rights NGO in Nepal since 1997 and previously with the Forum for Protection of Human Rights. He is Chief of Human Rights Education and Training (HRET) Centre at INSEC and has overall responsibility for designing, planning and coordinating all INSEC’s human rights education and training programs. He has facilitated training on human rights for local communities, professional groups, politicians and security personnel as well as with Maoist groups. Krishna was recently chief trainer for INSEC School of Human Rights a three month long program aimed at producing mid level Human rights defenders in Nepal. Krishna has also prepared a training manual on training of trainers on human rights in Nepali and coordinated the publication of a series of human rights education books used by NGOs working in human rights promotion. He believes the program will enhance his knowledge on human rights and increase his capacity and confidence for facilitating training.
