Madhavan Kallath

Madhavan is a lawyer and specializes in corporate and labour laws. He has been in the legal field for 38 years and providing legal services for migrants in Bahrain for over 20 years. He provides pro bono legal advice via telephone calls, personal meetings, workshops and open houses. He attends the open house held monthly by the Indian Embassy where complaints from Indian migrants are heard. Madhavan is also in the process of organizing regular open houses with the Migrant Workers’ Protection Society. He anticipates the workshop will assist him in solving the problems of migrant workers in Bahrain. He hopes what he learns would assist in advocacy with the regulatory authorities in Bahrain to make amendments to legislation and better protect migrants’ rights.
