Melina Laboucan-Massimo

Melina works as the Country Sites Program Manager, as well as the Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator for Taking IT Global. In her role as Country Sites Program Manager, Melina works with individuals from varying countries on improving and developing country websites in order to make these more accessible to youth. She hopes this will promote further cross cultural understanding. As Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator, Melina collaborates with various Aboriginal groups in Canada, and hopes to raise enough funds to establish a program that would provide Aboriginal youth with training to develop their IT skills. Melina is joining the DTP training in order to improve her knowledge of Indigenous rights and governance, as well as to further her skills as an Indigenous advocate.
