Melkianus Muay

Melky is the Director of the Papua Institute, an NGO which conducts programs concerning education and scholarship, advocacy for democracy and human rights and promoting peace-building and publishing. His responsibilities as Director include identifying local issues through communicating directly with beneficiaries, discussions and research in order to determine issues relevant to his work. The Papua Institute promotes community awareness of their rights through dialogues, posters and interaction with the community. By participating in this program, Melky hopes to improve his advocacy skills, and thus expects to learn of strategies and techniques concerning advocacy and diplomacy, and to build networks with other participants.
