Female 22years Menindee Occupation/Involvements: Volunteer bus helper/ has completed fairly extensive personal study on Indigenous rights/ connects with people in the community to spread knowledge of human and indigenous rights and to encourage advocacy. Main Concerns: Local community: severe unemployment; drug and alcoholism; social isolation and disconnection; lack of role models and community leadership; lack of awareness of culture; water insecurity and mismanagement. Nationally: feelings of helplessness- no control over our future; lack of trust and cooperation between people and the government; broken families due to domestic violence; early deaths from preventable diseases.
