Rev Leva Kila Pat

Rev. Pat Kila Leva is the program coordinator of the Pacific Conference of Churches. His position involves: lobbying and human rights awareness raising for displaced persons from West Papua, as well as women and children; and collaborating with relevant regional NGOs on issues relating to displaced West Papuans and women’s and children’s issues. He is particularly concerned about the status of women and children in the pacific region which has been recognised in various UN and national reports as well below world standards, often being the victims of victimisation and abuse. By attending the training he hopes to improve the effectiveness of his advocacy on behalf of women’s and children’s rights in Fiji and the pacific, as well as addressing the issues of minorities in the region such as the situation of West Papuans.
