Sutan Sutanandika

Sutanandika is the Publication Coordinator and an experienced Researcher at Imparsial, a leading Indonesian human rights NGO promoting civil liberties by monitoring, investigating and publishing human rights violations. Imparsial is a member of the Aceh Democratic Network, which lobbies the Indonesian government for the passage of the Law of Aceh Government. In this role, he has been responsible for carrying out the planning, data collection and analysis of research for publication, as well as other campaign initiatives. His research has considered a range of important human rights issues including security versus civil liberties, pluralism, the death penalty, state secrecy, police brutality and the protection of human rights defenders. Sutanandika has a wealth of knowledge in educational and security issues and has worked on various human rights publications. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with other program participants and hopes to disseminate this learning with Imparsial and throughout Indonesia.
