Research Officer, Citizens’ Constitutional Forum (CCF)

Ms Gadolo is the Research Officer at CCF, the secretariat of the Universal Periodic Review CSO working group in Fiji. She monitors media coverage of human rights violations in Fiji and the activities of the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission. As part of her work, Ms Gadolo also helps collate information for the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) CSO working group. She has a keen interest in business, human rights and the sustainable Development Goals in the Pacific and hopes to apply these concepts to her work with local communities. , Vilisi Gadolo is a Research Officer with the CCF developing Terms of References for Topical Research papers and outsourcing research. In her role, Vilisi is responsible for monitoring media stories on human rights violations in Fiji and activities of the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission. This work feeds into the CCF’s role as secretariat for both the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination Civil Society Organisation (ICERD CSO) working group the Universal Periodic Review Civil Society Organisation (UPR CSO) working group to collate relevant information. Further, Vilisi’s work in media is used in educational materials and workshops conducted by the organisation on human rights, good governance and citizenship. Vilisi is interested to learn more about indigenous rights and protections from this training to share best practices in indigenous rights advocacy with her organisation and empower indigenous communities in Fiji.
