Auiluma Lotoala

Auiluma develops work-plans for TANGO’s projects mainly on Climate Change, Marine & Coastal Biodiversity, Youth Development consultation workshops and Indigenous Local Knowledge (ILK). TANGO was the main funder of the Women Empowerment with Business Management in their Community last year 2018, in Funafuti. Currently, they are promoting and supporting Marine Biodiversity, as well as securing and protecting the rights of Indigenous People by conducting workshops programs/consultations and research surveys. Both the ILK and Conservation Areas Projects involve human rights harm caused by private sector activities/projects. From this course, Auiluma would like to understand human rights in the context of working with local communities. She believes the training will help the organization in improving capacity building and human rights development.
