Avinash Kumar

Avinash implemented a two-year (2018-2020) project titled “Upholding Citizens’ Constitutional Rights for Democratic Consolidation” or C3-Fiji Project, Avishn oversees all the operations of the project in Fiji and reports to IDEA regional office via the Fiji Country Program Manager. He plans, organizes and executes all the IDEA led activities and communicates with the EU. Although International IDEA is not directly undertaking any project aiming to resolve human rights harm caused by private sector activities, some of the activities of their partners under the C3-Fiji Project are tailored towards assisting communities affected by private sector. From this training, Avinash would like to assist his organization to learn how it could approach the government agencies and departments to become part of the International IDEA led activities that promote human rights under the C3-Fiji Project. As well, he would like to learn how he could incorporate human rights approaches and sustainable development goals in all their activities under the C3-Fiji Project, and in their future projects.
