Daniel is an active member of the Australian Karen Organisation (AKO) NSW Branch and is works on of the settlement aspects of supporting new refugee arrivals. Daniel was the deputy leader of the Tham Hin Refugee Camp in Ratchburi, Thailand and represented a community of approximately 10,000 people. He was responsible for the camps administration as well as organising activities and training to build capacity in the refugee population. This role involved constant lobbying and communication with Thai government, diplomats and International NGOs including the preparation of reports and recommendations at any given opportunity.
