Endang Melani

Endang Sri Melani is the Division Coordinator of Monitoring and Investigation at Komnas HAM RI, Indonesian National Commission on Human Rights. She’s working for Komnas HAM for almost 16 years in same field, monitoring and investigation. She graduated with honors from University of Indonesia with a degree in Criminology (under-graduated) and Master of Law (Post-graduated). Melani loves reading, traveling and spending quality time with her family. The main reason why Melani wants to participate in the AAI Human Rights Leadership to Influence Policy Short Term Award is because she wants to encourage the effectiveness of Komnas HAM’s recommendation in regards advocacy and strategic dialogues with the respective parties. In her opinion, communication skill, both speaking and writing, is the most important part to pursue that dream. The issue of refugees protection is one of the issue.
