Tirtha Prasad Saikia

Vision of NEADS is to ensure social justice by eradicating poverty, inequality, injustice and social exclusion. NEADS aims to achieve this vision by promoting an equitable society and connecting people to resources which offer security and enhance development. As joint director, Tirtha’s role encompasses managing programs, project design, documentation, reporting, monitoring projects and working with project stakeholders to ensure activities are run smoothly. Tirtha has been involved in a myriad of social development initiatives which support his organisations mission. These include the India flood response 2017 in Assam, Child sponsorship programme and Assam disaster risk reduction program. Tirtha hopes the DTP training will assist him to develop advocacy strategies to influence policy changes and consequently address rights-based problems in the community.
