Esther Haluk

Esther is currently Head of the Department of Action for LMPP and member of FNMP in Semarang, Central Java. Semarang is the central office for LMPP in Indonesia, with several others based throughout Java and West Papua. As leader of this organisation, Ester is responsible for arranging schedules for national discussions/meetings and demonstrations, building networks with other pro democracy organisations, and organising other West Papuan students to support and participate in the national agenda for West Papua’s liberation from “Indonesia’s colonialism”. As member of FNMP, Esther works on gathering government documents and information relating to policies on West Papua. It is the goal of both LMPP and FNMP to expose the on-going human rights abuses in West Papua. Ester believes the DTP training course will assist in building relationships and networks with other human rights organisations and provide her with new skills to further the goals of her organisation.
