David Sjoberg

David is the manager of Camp Coorong Race Relations and Cultural Education Centre- Ngarrindjeri Land and Progress Association. He is a Media Communications officer involved in political campaigns to defend and assert Ngarrindjeri rights to country, culture and heritage. In this role he works with a myriad of organisations such as environmental groups, developers, lawyers, universities, indigenous organisations both in Australia and abroad. He hopes that by attending the training he learn how to be more effective in using the United Nations human rights mechanisms and procedures in the advocacy of Indigenous Australian rights. He hopes to use the knowledge and skills he gains in his continuing efforts on behalf of Ngarrindjeri rights.
