Laksmi A. Savitri, Ph.D. is a social anthropologist and agrarian activist in Indonesia. She graduated PhD from Kassel University, Germany in 2007. She serves as a board member of the Pusaka Bentala Rakyat Foundation, a supervisor at FIAN Indonesia and is also an editor and writer at Insist Press. In 2013, she co-authored the book Corporation and the Politics of Land Grabbing, an ethnography of the Marind people and the MIFEE project. In 2023, she co-published a research report with Pusaka titled The Biopolitics of Food Estates and the Metabolic Rupture of Nature–People in Papua, highlighting how large-scale resource extraction disrupts human–nature relations.
