Mane Yun

Consultant, Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organisation (CIPO)
Cambodia
Mane has years of experience with indigenous people’s rights specifically focusing on the rights over land and natural resources affected by illegal logging. Mane finished her contract with the Cambodian Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO) but still contributes some support to the project in Mondulkiri and the Stung Treng Provinces in the Northeast of Cambodia. This project focuses on the protection of the Indigenous spiritual mountain, their registered collective land title and the developments in the community plan. Mane now works with IFAD in Cambodia to incorporate indigenous people’s (IP) issues across their portfolio. This role includes reviewing and incorporating any comments received from IFAD internal review processes; ensuring IP constraints and issues are addressed in the targeting strategy; working to ensure national policies on IPs are integrated across the country’s program and ensuring relevant M&E indicators are included across the projects. Her role includes building connections for policy dialogue with national parliamentary, senator and ministries. Mane hopes that this training program will strengthen her skills in dealing with issues concerning Indigenous peoples rights.
