DTP partnered with FORUM-ASIA in delivering the 3rd ASEAN Human Rights Advocacy Academy in Jakarta from June 4-6 with 20 young participants from 8 ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste. ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Right’s Indonesia representative (and DTP alumna) Yuyun Wahyuningrum welcomed participants to the ASEAN Secretariat for a session on engaging AICHR and regional cooperation on human rights. Australia’s mission to ASEAN hosted a dialogue and reception for participants.
DTP acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we work, the Bedegal people of the Eora Nation. We recognise their lands were never ceded, and we acknowledge their struggles for recognition and rights and pay our respects to the Elders – past, present – and the youth who are working towards a brighter tomorrow. This continent always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
