Australia

12 November - 3 December, 2025

This program has concluded

The Diplomacy Training Program (DTP), in partnership with the Pacific Islands Association of NGOs (PIANGO), hosted 15 Fellows from seven Pacific countries for an Australia Awards Fellowship Program focused on Climate Change and the Pacific: Sharing Knowledge, Listening and Strengthening Pacific Voices.

The civil society participants from Fiji, Kiribati, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu all work in different ways to address the impacts of the climate crisis in the Pacific.

The intensive three week program took place in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra and included sessions with academics, climate experts, parliamentarians, developmental NGOs and Pasifika diaspora sharing their own stories and knowledge of the impacts of climate change in their individual countries, building collaborations, skills and linkages that can enhance their advocacy work going forward.
