DTP and STARTTS are calling for applications from refugee and migrant community leaders to participate in a half-day training program on child rights.
This program is designed to strengthen understanding of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and explore practical applications of child rights frameworks across law, policy, health, education, and refugee services.
The training will employ a participatory learning methodology led by experienced and knowledgeable trainers, focused on the value of participants' lived experiences. Participants will engage with expert presentations, facilitated group reflection activities, and will be provided with a take-home resource pack.
Only 40 places are available for this popular event. Applications close on 8 June 2026.
Attendees at the event are also invited to the NSW Humanitarian Awards, which will be held in the evening of 26 June 2026 at NSW Parliament House.
