Our Alumni
Human rights defenders
Since 1990, DTP has trained over 3,250 human rights defenders and community advocates from over 90 countries across the Asia-Pacific and MENA region. These DTP alumni go on to work for human rights in different ways and over many years. Their work stretches over decades of human rights advocacy in the region.

The DTP training encouraged me to have the strength to be brave.

Alumni Engagement & Networking
DTP’s training is a significant investment in individuals working for human rights, their organisations and movements. For over 30 years, DTP alumni have been contributing to national, regional and international movements for human rights.
DTP recognises the importance of its DTP alumni network and is committed to realising the potential of alumni networks to strengthen and support movements for human rights in Asia and Pacific at this time when human rights defenders are at risk and civil society space is closing.
All of DTP’s programs are held in collaboration with DTP alumni and their organisations. DTP alumni return to teach and train on DTP’s programs. DTP stays in touch with its alumni through its fortnightly eNews that feature alumni profiles and news from alumni.
