Aakash Jayaprakash

Aakash is from India and he has extensive experience on the rights of migrant workers and labour rights. He obtained his Master’s degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science in UK. He is also a graduate student in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. Aakash worked as a migrant worker welfare specialist at Qatar Foundation from January 2013 to July 2014. In this role, he formulated and enforced standards of worker welfare for 35,000 workers across Qatar Foundation projects and Qatar 2022 World Cup. He research and audits of transnational migratory patterns to Qatar from Asian countries. And he worked closely with governmental, international bodies to recommend policy changes for implementation of worker welfare. At the DTP training, Aakash would like to share his experience with fellow participants and also gain skills and knowledge from them and trainers.
