2. Scope of Policy

This policy applies to the activities and operations of DTP and is to be implemented by its staff and volunteers. It is to be communicated as appropriate to its partners.

3. Guiding Principles

DTP recognises the relationships between the environment and human rights and will seek in its programs and operations to incorporate understanding of the links between human rights and climate change.

DTP acknowledges that its activities impact on the environment both locally and globally. DTP recognises that all staff, volunteers and participants have a responsibility to play their part in reducing negative environmental impact.

DTP recognises the importance of traditional Indigenous resource management proactive and ownership patterns in fostering sustainable development and land care.

DTP believes that education and training are important aspects of addressing the negative impacts of human activity on the global and local environments.
