Ms Taumoepeau is a member of the Women in Law Association, an organisation established lawyer in Tonga that provide access to justice for rural communities. She has a Master of Laws from Loyola University of Chicago. As part of WLA’s work, she has helped to facilitate workshops and community meetings, providing legal education to the community. She also performs pro bono work after hours. Through this program, Ms Taumoepeau hopes to build on her knowledge and skills for the protection of human rights and sustainable development in the Pacific. She seeks to gain insight into current advocacy strategies so she can better serve her community.
