Camille Dobson

Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc
Australia
Camille is currently working as the Community Legal Education Officer at the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement Inc (ALRM). Her duties involve the production of Education Programs for Indigenous People in South Australia; and also to educate the wider South Australian community on indigenous issues related to justice. Camille produces a quarterly newsletter, Your Legal Rights, as part of this education initiative, and is also currently involved in several community-based events including the Courts Administration National Law Week, Closing the Gap and the World Elders Indigenous Conference. Camille believes this training program will help her work as she is very eager to learn ways in which her organisation can implement the articles of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. She also hopes to learn from and share her knowledge with other participants, and to use the program as a platform in order to expand her role as Community Legal Officer to include advocacy and lobbying.
