Headshot of Elizabeth More

Professor Elizabeth More’s academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) (UNSW), GradDipMgt (Central Queensland), MComLaw (Deakin), and a PhD (UNSW). Her current position is as a Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) Commissioner, following her previous key roles of Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Macquarie and Canberra universities; Dean of three Business Schools – Macquarie University Graduate School of Management (MGSM), the Faculty of Business at the Australian Catholic University (ACU); and Dean of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) School of Business.

Professor More has given conference presentations and published widely, both locally and internationally, in the field of organisation studies across both the for-profit and non-profit sectors – particularly in the areas of organisational change, communication, culture, communications technology and policy, sustainable leadership, knowledge management, and management in the performing arts. Her most recent research presentations and publications have been focussed on change management and leadership in the nonprofit sector, highlighting the implementation of the NDIS. Her latest publications are Rosenbaum, D., More, E., and Orr, M. (eds), 2025, Journeys Through the Disability and Mental Health Nonprofit Sector: The Theory and Practice of Leadership, Springer; and Zubac, A., Zwikael, O., Tucker, D., More, E., Jiang, Z., & Kirkpatrick, S. (eds), 2026, The Palgrave Handbook of Strategy, Change and Transformational Project Leadership, Palgrave Macmillan.

She has worked for many years across the nonprofit sector, most recently having spent a decade as the Board Chair of Flourish Australia, one of Australia’s largest service providers, grounded in a human rights framework, for those with complex mental health challenges. She was also a NSW Councillor for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and a Member of the AICD NFP Chairs Forum.

Professor More believes in promoting and protecting a culture respecting and upholding the universality and inalienability of human rights and freedom for all people, regardless of characteristics or circumstances, through education and advocacy in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other similar vital instruments, especially now with current escalating global challenges, geopolitical dynamics, and ‘wicked problems’ in our VUCAD world.
