Esra was the Volunteer Campaigner and Facilitator at Tiki Papua. Esra’s work involved advocating and campaigning on behalf of Papuan women who have experienced human rights violations by the State, whether physical, economic, social, or cultural in nature. His role included facilitating and strengthening women’s groups by researching human rights violations and standards, providing human rights training for Papuan women, and campaigning for their human rights. Esra’s DTP training provided him with skills, knowledge and methods which he applied to improve his work. He believed the training could help him build relationships with the government and bridge the gap between the Papuan community and the government.
