Julio Castor Achmadi is a public interest lawyer and human rights defender in Indonesia. He is the National Human Rights Institution Programme Officer in FORUM-ASIA, a regional human rights organization that works to strengthen movements for human rights and sustainable development through research, advocacy, capacity-development and solidarity actions in Asia and beyond. Julio has an extensive record in refugee rights and minority advocacy. He currently holds the position of Legal Empowerment Coordinator in SUAKA and Chair of South East Asia Working Group in Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN). His leisure time is given up to write as it is one of the ways for him to promote human rights to various stakeholders.
