Mohamed Shihab

Shihab serves as an Advocacy Officer and Consultant to the Fuvahmulak Youth and Sports Development Society. In his role, Shihab’s duties include providing consultation, participating in activist groups and convincing power-players to lobby on their issues. He has been involved for over ten years in various societies and nationwide programs for increasing public awareness as a volunteer. Areas in which he has contributed in include human rights, gender equality, promoting democracy and justice and fairness. He is a key trainer in delivering yearly advocacy programs to local communities, such as seminars, workshops and forums. Shihab believes that migrant workers issues in the context of Maldives and he is keen to pursue an active role in the promotion and protection of migrant workers’ rights.
